My company filed labor application on 13th September 2010 and it was approved on 2nd November 2010. Now getting ready for I-140. I thought I will share this info with the forum

Thanks for you post about Canada Visit. You mentioned that one shouldn't say vacation for purpose of visit. What should we say then? My wife and I are going for Landing to Canada and people have posted that if you tell you landed as immigrant in Canada then Border Officers give you a hard time as well and some have even got RFE's from USCIS regarding their intent with US immigration process. So either way we are in trouble!
Friends please advise. What should you say to Border Patrol Officers on Re Entry to US with AP?:(

AP was created for people who had an emergency to travel outside the US while there I-485 was being processed. but over the years these processes have elapse and now take longer. So now the USCIS is more lenient in issuing APs but the law still is that its for emergency travel. Now if you come across an IO who is having a bad day and asks you your reason for travel and you say vacation well he has the authority to deny you entrance. The IO can refuse you entry if he feels somethings not right.
While you have a I-485 pending trying to get Canadian landing papers in theory is a good idea but heres the problem you run in to. After get us green card or passport you take on any other nationality they don't like that. They consider it that you no longer want to be a US citizen now if you have previously held any other nationality like Indian by birth they are ok with that.
So yes if you tell the IO you went there for Canadian landing papers and are traveling on AP its sounds like you no longer want to be a US citizen.
In the past I have said visit family they are ok with that.

Priority Date to 2006 to me is like a flashlight in the middle of the tunnel. Whether battery will run out (retrogression again) before USCIS acting on my file is a miilion $ question.
Let us hope for the best.
I pray for EB3 brothers and sisters and they realizing so called american hope sooner with CIR.
Is CIR the only way for EB3 to get GC? Real sad! As good as saying that all EB3 applications are going to be null and void.

Hi Folks-
We (5 People) work for IBM company, SFO, today we went personally to the congress men and we submit the letter which is provided in this forum and after that we called state senator office and we explained about our problem. We faxed and email the letter to the senator office, staff had taken my contact details and they told me that they will inform the solution in 2days.

You are right, it will be tough to dig into an agency that does approve your status here.
Fortunately the US justice system works for everybody. Thats the hallmark of this great country.
Anybody can go to a court and seek justice if they feel they have been harmed or suffered losses even by a govt body.
Ample evidence is available in court records for cases against USCIS by GC applicants for delays and errors. This not an opinion but a fact.
In this country you just don't get screwed or get a cold shoulder for seeking justice within the written laws.
Unfortunately numbskulls like villamonte and DED don't have a mental capacity to understand these concepts

My heart jumps with joy, but my brain still caution the heart to wait for the official visa bulletin at DOS/USCIS website. USCIS has a trend of "correcting" the visa bulletin. Nevertheless, if the dates are really what they are published at Mumbai site, its a time for us to be happy.
EB2 looks promising, but in this moment of joy lets not forget our friends in EB3 category. Anyone whose priority date is current, please don't just move forward with your joy, and continue to support IV and our initiatives to help legal immigrants. We have suffered so much because the folks who came prior to us never bothered to support legal immigration, once they got their their GC. Please remember that after GC/Citizenship, our status in this nation as a minority group depends on how active we are socially/politically.

Immigrating legally to the U.S seemed like a gold opportunity when I was offered to work here six years ago with an H1B visa. As a matter of fact, all my friends and family considered that it would have been crazy not to take advantage of the "opportunity" to live and work in the most developed country on Earth.
It's been six long years of challenges and learning experiences, but mostly it's been six years of financial distress, anxiety, paralysis and uncertainty.
We applied for PR four years ago, but in the process my wife and I have eaten all our saving in lawyer fees - and at this point we're just one more number in the long list of EB3 applicants who don't have the remotest idea of when visa numbers will become available so we can have a normal life. I don't even consider traveling to my country cause I don't have the money to pay for APs for me and my wife. My career has been also frozen since I cant take promotions to higher positions that will fall off the job description stated in my PERM.
If I had known about this ordeal, I would have never come to the US. I would have looked for other options, in countries that have a more sincere and generous immigration policies instead. If the US is not interested in allowing people to legally immigrate through visas based on employment, they simply should eliminate these visas and make clear that they don't want us to stay. Wouldn't that be easy for everyone?
I would return to my country if we didn't have a nasty political turmoil and the social decay that comes with it. Yet, I feel that the days go by and our lives are entangled in this absurd situation.
Dont worry - another 50 to 60 years and then it will be dust to dust and ashes to ashes. BTW did you visit Grand Canyon or Death Valley?

Why there is nothing for EB Multinational Managers? Even a small project manager gets a priority greencard and people with masters degree and 10 year experience are waiting. Nobody has told to USCIS yet?

I have a suggestion! I don't think forcing monthly $25 contribution to keep donor status alive is a very good idea, especially in current economy. Take an example of myself. It is decided that I am going to loose job on 17th March, may not be able to contribute every month.
