I have been on a monthly contributions program that contributes every month to IV since JAN 2007. If this effort requires the money now, is there a way I can divert the monthly to this effort for the next 3 months. Or should I cancel my monthly contribution and just donate a lump sum for this effort?

I just spoke to Congressional office and this is what she has to say:

That, I am told, means Nebraska agrees to re-examine your I-485 denial and a decision should be forthcoming within 60 days. I suggest that we wait to see what that decision is before our office initiates any formal inquiries with the USCIS Nebraska Director.

But she agreed that my second MTR might have been on sidelines and the congressional office inquiry into the matter could have influenced USCIS to review my case ( probably with a supervisor) immediately. She told me that she would put another inquiry with NSC in 4 weeks if nothing comes up. Finally we have decided to forgo (just for now) the process of writing letter to the NSC Director as it might not add much weight to the process, as congressional office would be repeating the same argument that my Attorney has made regarding the AC21, which a supervisor is already looking at.
I have already waited for 3 months. Another 2 months might take its toll on my emotional drain.

That is a standard message. Basically yur 485 has been reopened. Unless your priority date is current there is nothing much they can do, but if there is a need for RFE, they will send you RFE.

Lets all try to send this letter. I'm working with my HR to get this 7001 out - As Pappu said there should not be any reason why HR wont sign that form.
What's going on at NSC or TSC is Shame.... Peoples who applied in AUG-SEP 07 has got 140 approved at NSC where as folks back in APR-JUNE 07 is stuck and more over NSC claims that they are processing MAR 22 07 for last 5 months.

How do you guys get this daily update.. going by this, it will take them 2 months just to clear first 2 days of july - even after assuming all receipts issued are for I-485 cases, which is far from truth!

I called USCIS customer service to ask for the attorney name on file and they said that they didn't have access to that information and I would have to get an Infopass appointment for that. Given the crap that ChanduV had to deal with (for changing jobs on AC21) during his infopass appointment, it is probably best I just wait to ask that question until my second biometric appointment is due in a few months.

Well - not every officer will deal with you in the same manner. It was my bad luck. I am sure, I might find someone helpful if I go again. So don't get intimidated and discouraged.

So you may get an answer "If your Attorney has filed for G 28 - then you don't have to worry". But you never know and can always give a try.

Joined small company in 11/2010, Perm EB2 - 12/22/2010 - Approved on 01/06/2011
I140 Premium - 03/02/2011. Both 140 and 485 approved on 03/15/2011 - Current Law Firm received 140 approval notice on 03/18/2011, Previous company's law firm received 485 approval on the same day.
how come you joined the company in 11/2010 and applied on 12/22/2010 ? my lawyer is in the 3rd week and finalizing job description. she says advertising takes 30 days, pwd takes 6 weeks, etc etc, and that it cannot be approved without atleast 90 days of prepwork.

Some guys are applying from different states than where they work or living and get processed very quickly. some states are being delayed. So Taking the arrival date as priority date is genuine and fair.

If the system is flawed, any effort to work it out to get things done would seem incompetent and inefficient. First off, this guessing game by USCIS of estimating visa applications and asking for visa numbers from DHS is so neondartal and ridiculous.
Process must be automated and centralized to eliminate any human intervention in performing guesstimates. A pool of visas must be made available in the system and must remain available for the next year to be carried over if needs be. That would eliminate pressure on officials to play the game in the dark and rush like maniacs at the end of the fiscal year to catch frogs!
