I believe the majority ofthe IV members are from Indian origins. they should contact the Indian community that donated money to Hilary and ask why she voted against legal immigrants. she is preparing for her election compaign. I am sure she will answer or at least she will know that we are following her votes against us.

so atleast we can say that there is a different opinion exists among attorney's too, than one of that RK's.
As mentioned in some of the above posts,
1. PPL mentioned successful renewal of EAD while MTR was filed.
2. PPL reported been able to continue working while 485 was in appeal due to invocation of 140 by previous employer after 180 days of 485.
So, I am sure there is something that is mis-guiding us here. As suggested above, Do you think if sending an email to CIS ombudsman as an individual would help? or can we do it under IV's banner if that is more effective? Suggestions?

They both listened to what I had to say and assured that they will pass the message on to the Senators.
One of the aides sounded surprised when I told her average wait time is at least 10+ years, please call senators in the list.

Thank you! I have sent them my I-140 and 485 and also past and present EADs to show that this is something that needs to be renewed every 2 years.

I got my I140 approved in just 3 months (filed in Jul'08 and approved in oct'08) .. My I140 was filed in EB2 at NSC...

You are right, it will be tough to dig into an agency that does approve your status here.
Fortunately the US justice system works for everybody. Thats the hallmark of this great country.
Anybody can go to a court and seek justice if they feel they have been harmed or suffered losses even by a govt body.
Ample evidence is available in court records for cases against USCIS by GC applicants for delays and errors. This not an opinion but a fact.
In this country you just don't get screwed or get a cold shoulder for seeking justice within the written laws.
Unfortunately numbskulls like villamonte and DED don't have a mental capacity to understand these concepts

Relax Buddy , now that the bus has come they will keep coming .Most of the people will go in this bus. The dates will retrogress for some time and will be current maybe next year . Priority dates are decided by the Department of State and EAD renewal periods are decided by USCIS. They are two different organizations.
So this is not a scam to deny people 2 year EADs.

A few lucky people from the July filers will get their green cards from this, but most may have to wait a while. They have not processed many of them.
If that is the case, why is there a big movement? I am assuming that the Jul 07 backlog has been significantly reduced and hence this big movement. Correct me if my assumption is wrong.

I am sorry for posting in here, but I was wondering if someone actually went in person to the Houston Consulate to get their passport renewed. Also, do we need to have any reason to attend in person at the Consulate such as emergency, etc.
I am from India and my passport is expiring on Aug 17. I read before in the forum that it is better to go in person to renew the passport. Any experiences please let me know.

If you are around houston, it would be better to go in person. I think they accept the applications only until noon. They would tell u a Pickup date or u have an option to get it mailed. The passport is ready for pickup in 10 working days or so.
