As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

Do I have to send employment verification letter or something else?
Background:
Company A sponsored my GC (I was on H1B with them). Last year I joined Company B on EAD. But my previous employer told me that they will not revoke my I-140. So why USCIS is asking for letter from Employer.

My friends h1b got rejected 2years back , he once again applied for new one in this fin year from diffrent company , does old petion will effect the new one, as he not shown th eold one while filing the new one

All,
I recently received my FP appointment date, but I have to be on a conference the previous day. If everything goes well, I can arrive to my appointment without any problem.
But if my flight is delayed or cancelled I might risk being late to the appointment. My appointment is 10:00 am in the morning, are they very strict about the timing for FP appointment, or can we go a little late if we were delayed? Can you please share your experience?
Also, How early should we call in to postpone the appointment?

I am travelling to India in November 2009. My visa recently expired and I got my H1b extension until 2012. I work for a big US company of repute. Although my company has no TARP related benefits from the GOV, given the economic conditions, I am little concerned if Stamping in India for visa could be a problem? My concern is if they would deny or delay the visa approval? I have all my documents valid including employment status.My GC is under process(I-140 approved).
Additionally, what precaution should I take that enhances my chances of successful visa stamping?
Please advise.

I have a similar question. My EB-3 PD is August 2005 (I-140 was approved but I never filed the I-485 because of retrogression). Few months back I found out that the employer had withdrawn/revoked the I-140. Now my employer is getting ready to file my EB-2 I-140 and my question is: Can we retain/interfile the priority date from 2005? I know the answer is yes but I am looking for examples where any fellow member was able to successfully do so. Thanks!
