I guess that should be OK. Only H1B rules require one to be continuously earning. On EAD, if you have a potential employer who is willing to hire you after your GC is approved, you can remain without regular paychecks.
I know of the guys, who actually availed unemployment benefits on EAD, and yet got their GCs. At least sitting without regular paychecks is better than that.

My I140 has recently approved on Aug,7th but the attorney and employer has already sent the withdraw letter to USCIS to cancel I-140 petition last month in July.But as they sent the cancellation letter to USCIS so is this possible if they sent the letter again to them not to withdraw or cancel I-140As right now I am in Canada,so I request them not to cancel I-140 and plz. do the consular processing for my case as I-140 is approved,so can someone advice me what will be the best thing,any advice will be appreciated.

yes. Select it, then check out the left hand panel. I believe that "layout" will have a check box which says, "show object" or something similar. This is what you use to make an object transparent.

I am thinking of taking these semester off because of my health issue
I had decided to attend classes and booked my ticket in April to my country. I am an international student
So I was thinking how many months I can stay in USA after I take a semester break
Also if I take these spring break off and than the summer break is off by default so will it be a problem if I am not in status for 7 months?

I have filed the H1B(I129) transfer and extension on H4(I539) in the month of June 18th and then upgraded to premimum process in the month of November, after 2 days it got approved and within the next two days they changed the status to RFE and requested to send the paystubs for the past 3 months. I have all the paystubs and our attorney sent the response with the paystubs to USCIS. In between this my wife travelled to India when my I129 and I539 pending.
1) Do you think there will be any problem for my visa to be approved(since my wife is in India)?
2) Can my wife visa gets approved when she was in India?
3) How long do they take to respond to the RFE?
Please advice.

I have applied for OPT application (applied first time) in second week of May @ Vermont Service Center.
In last week of June, my employer filed H1B visa via premium processing and it gets approved within a week. H1B start date is Dec 1, 2010.
Last week, I received RFE for my OPT application stating that my status has changed to H1B. Please provide approval receipt. I have sent the approval receipt to USCIS. Current online status of OPT application shows that USCIS office received requested documents and my case is pending.
1. Will it affect my OPT application?
2. My original joining date is already postponed by 2 weeks. Still I am waiting for OPT card. Should I request expedite processing of my OPT application? or should I wait?
Please let me know. Thanks.
